NEW INTERNATIONAL LOUNGE IN GWCC'S MAIN LOBBY
ATLANTA- (July 27, 2010) In the Georgia World Congress Center’s Main Lobby off Andrew Young International Blvd, visitors can now utilize a new lounge area next to the Information Desk and across from Starbucks. The lounge, called the International Lounge, offers guests free wireless internet access and a place to take a break from the busy show floor with comfortable seating. The space is 2,050 square feet with 33 individual armchairs and 2 couches.
Located off the International Lounge is a 332 square foot conference room that can accommodate up to 8 people comfortably. The room can be rented for $25 per hour and can be booked either by calling the GWCC Sales department (404-223-4200) or from the Information Desk next to the lounge. The conference room rental fee includes internet usage.
Approximately $318,650 was spent on the redesign of the lounge and conference room, which was once used as office space. Many local companies are looking at purchasing long-term naming rights to the lounge which is located in the most high-traffic area of the 3.9 million square foot convention center.
Other amenities in the main lobby include FedEx Office, Starbucks, It’s About Georgia (gift and sundries shop), the main Information Desk, and the Concierge Desk.
